Data & data portals for regional MSP needs

These 3 workshops were organised around the diagnosis of existing database and geoportal at the regional level (in the case study areas), knowledge and potential adaptations of other existing geoportals by the regional authorities, the opportunities and approaches for their integration. Data availability and data needs were discussed in the frame of activities developed by other projects (for example the project TEG on data for MSP and eMSP-NBSR on the urging need of MSP in North Baltic Seas Region).

The emphasis was laid on the data needed to monitor and evaluate the plans, with particular emphasis on the role of regional and local authorities.
The accent was placed on the data needed to monitor and evaluate plans, with particular highlight on the role of regional and local authorities. Exchanges between regional and national data providers and data users through the workshops were supported.

A repository of the various portals and GIS information providers available at regional level will be produced. This analysis will be combined with an assessment of data requirements for MSP at regional level.
